sometimes, surprises come with insanity!
that’s how it all started for me to reunite with my primary school classmates.
and this is how it goes…
the story started with just a simple upload of our primary 6G class photo on facebook.
Eliza tagged some of us, and we tagged the others.
and as more and more of our classmates were discovered through facebook, we started a little discussion on our primary school life.
Jamie suggested we should meet up, and right away, Adrian suggested next Friday.
and we met up!
just the 6 of us: Adrian, Jamie, Benny, Kok Yong, Edmond & Daisy.
we had dinner at Manhattan Fish Market & chilling session at Cafe Iguana.
The whole night was filled with fun and laughter, as we reminisce on the days of our primary school life.
Drawing digimon characters on graph papers and comics of Yu Lao Shi, catching spiders during breaks, memorizing and reciting chinese poems every morning, teasing other schoolmates, downloading pokemon into the school computers, assigning nicknames to our classmates, playing at the monkeybars, somersaulting at the parallel bars, etc etc etc.
We have so much to talk about and so much to catch up on.
No tinge of awkwardness and no sense of distance. I still felt the same way like it was back in 6G, and we can vividly remember almost every event, as though they just happened yesterday.
it was indeed an awesome meet-up for the 6 of us and we decided to have another one real soon with more classmates joining in the next time round!
Indeed,
some memories are worth keeping, esp those that keep those dreams alive.
It just warms my heart being able to find and meet up with these long-lost friends, after 8 long years.
a really indescribable feeling and I’m thankful for that
pure sweetness of friendship.
daz.
