worth it?

June 12, 2009

i dont know honestly.
i think what im doing now, what i choose to do is worth it.
though im not exactly delighted abt everything that im doing, i still think is worth it.
coz life is bittersweet, it’s not all that good afterall.
it doesn’t feel good to know that trying your best at everything you do brings about wagging tongues, whether is in front or behind you. but still, it’s worth it.
sorry loveloves and to my family for choosing work at times over all of you. that love told me proj or cca, not worth it lah. but i still think it’s worth it.
it’s all a matter of life experiences, whether you enjoy or hate it, it’s still worth it.
i can let go but i dont want to because im not a quitter.
and you cannot understand because you are doing things that you like and isn’t in my situation.
so no matter what, i’ll stay strong and move on.
coz every little single thing that i’m doing now,
it’s just worth it.

*daisy, hope u learnt your lesson. To know how to reject people and stop being too good. you’re really hurting yourself this time round.

happiness is the king.

May 29, 2009

today i come to realise that the world has been in a silly state for such a long time.
we, some apathetic citizens have been so driven by material gains and the capitalist society that we’ve all lost our true self.
because from birth till now, what i’ve experienced and seen, interacting with social elites, i realised everyday is just a struggle between different people.
we compete for territories, money, grades, awards, reputation, fame, titles, for what?
the only reason why im glad that i took sociology is because the module thought me that most of the things in life are socially constructed, which includes the factors i’ve listed above.
and now u see, after deconstructing this whole ideology and taking away the socially constructed part, i realised that all the factors are meaningless and worthless.

today is results day! and to me, the grades reflected in the system that flash across my eyes are just alphabets. A, B, C to me are like the first few things my parents taught me when i was a little kid. I feel this way because what we do, what we are fighting hard for now is simply happiness.
We want more land, so that we can exploit it to earn more money.
With money, we can buy more of our wants which creates demand for the capitalist society.
So, individuals are happy and corporations are happy too!
and as a matter of fact, the underlying result that we want to achieve isn’t it happiness?
to me it is. very true.
People always say they want to be happy, they want to live life to the fullest.
and when things don’t go their way, they forgot all about what they’ve said.
it is amusing yet hard to control because we are humans. we are built that way.

so ain’t life easy and simple?
happiness is what we ultimately need and want. and the best thing about happiness is that it’s not socially constructed but self defined. That’s why it isn’t that hard at all.
Just expect lesser and enjoy the simplest of life.
Be contented with what you have now.
Be happy cause you’re alive and kicking at this moment
and
be grateful to know what happiness truly means to you.

vienna teng.

May 22, 2009

I still remember vividly the first time i heard her song “cityhall”, it was so captivating and mind-blowing!
u know, i hardly describe songs in this way. But that was literally how i felt every time i listen to her songs. She has a voice of her own, coupled with her expressive piano playing skills, she’s definitely someone I would pay to watch her showcases or concerts, no matter how much they cost. I truly admire this artiste, and every representation of her song is filled with great power and emotion. This is the kind of music i appreciate much and hope one fine day, i’ll be able to meet her in person.

Now, I present to you with much honour – Vienna Teng!

I’ve been listening to this song every day and night, before I sleep, the moment i wake up and during travelling. and yes, it’s on repeat mode. So i only hear this song, and it has been 5 days and counting! lol.
hope u all like it. Vienna on piano and Alex Wong on drums.

MY FAVOURITE SONG! for many many months until Antebellum came along. lol!

This is a popular chinese song called ru guo. Her voice is the bomb!

feel so alive by just dedicating this post to vienna teng alone!
enjoy the very best in life.

free.

May 7, 2009

i like this feeling – the feeling of being free and liberated.
i like living life without any stress and worries, though it’s kinda impossible.
i like spending days playing my hearts out.
i like chilling sessions and gatherings.
i like to pamper my friends with love and more love.
i like to strum the chords on my guitar.
i like to hibernate on my soft bed without having to wake up early in the morning.
i like to look out of the windows at night and see a peaceful world.
i like to step out of the exam hall and flash a wide smile on my face.
i like to live life high.
i like this feeling – the feeling of being free and liberated.
yes i do baby!

now you see me, now you dont.

April 25, 2009

i thought it would be a courtesy to officially bid farewell to my loyal readers before i visit exile island for the time being. just in case you didn’t know what island that is..

exile island: an island featured in the reality show “survivor”, where a sole survivor will be isolated away from their usual campsites and spend the next few days by him/herself at the island.

and obviously, my exile island would be my very own home. probably at one isolated corner or the cupboard, whichever that can allow me to memorize 12 chapters of marketing tomorrow in a day.
not exactly nervous nor excited.
im just facing my exams this time with a light-hearted attitude and hope that i can scrap through each and everyone of them with at least a B reflected on judgement day.
bless me everyone.

and for those who’s interested. here’s my exam schedule.
27/04 – Making Sense of Society
29/04 – Interactive Media Design & Principles of Marketing
05/05 – Introduction to Japanese Studies
06/05 – Media Writing

alright. the sociology textbook is yelling at my name right now.
so, all the best to those who are mugging right now!
anytime, anywhere, anyone need a rant to destress, the hotline is open 24/7 for you! lol….
till the next time i’ll blog,
daz.

still my all-time fave! lol =D enjoy!
